My version of Köttbullar in Cheesesauce

Beef patties in Cheesesauce

I am sure you are familiar with Ikea's Köttbullar, am I right? Well, I was not until I tried them for the first time. My thoughts were: 'Tastes good, but without much flavor' - hence I planned on creating them for myself.

 

Beef patties

My favourite beef patties, also known as Faschierte Laibchen, are made by mixing 500g minced beef with an egg, (if it doesnt need to be carbfree, a soaked toast to make it fluffy) oregano, salt, pepper and spicy mustard. Brown them in a pan and let them cool.

Cheese Sauce

This is pretty easy to make, however take care you are not burning your pan, melt a piece of butter, four slices of Gouda, a tiny bit of creamcheese and a tip of water. Stir. Then sprinkle some Cuminpowder into it, you wont believe what a drop of liverpaste can do to add some flavor to it!!drop in some parsley and the patties to finish your meal. Either you cut them and let them simmer a bit or you just leave jt like that.


This meal is a great thing, as you can either eat it separately or combine both, there are so many things you can do with a beef patty, I have not even started yet! I hope you enjoy this recipe
