Curry-Coconut-Steak with Almond crisps

I got inspired to create this dish by having leftovers from a curry-coconut sauce and a marinated steak; therefore I simply decided to mix it both together. What happened then? This:

Want to try it out as well? Then you should follow these steps:

  1. Mix a cup of coconut milk with as much curry as you like - put ground coconut into it to bind the sauce.
  2. Secondly, put a bit of it into the pan with oil and heat it up. Next comes the steak, let it simmer in the sauce with a lid on it on a low flame. Flip it around and pour more sauce on the marinated steak; but leave a bit on the side.
  3. I had some self-made pizza dough left, so I grated it and put it in the pan too so it would soak up the sauce. This step is not necessary, I simply do not like it if something comes to waste, after all: everything is edible when you know how to work with it.
  4. When the steak is done, cut it into pieces and drape on a plate. Now pour the rest of the sauce over it and sprinkle the almonds on top. FINISHED.

I must admit it is indeed a weird combination if you read it, however the spicy flavor of the steak's marinade works really well with the coconut sauce; it is a good balance of mild and .. peppery?
